Drugs shops are closed today across the country against new drug sales rules
You may have trouble buying medicines all over the country today. Drug shops in the country will be closed today in protest against strict rules regarding the sale of drugs.
According to the All India Organization of Chemists and Drugstasis (AIOCD), they had sent a proposal against the government to the strict rule but it was not heard and after that a day strike was called.
"We have been asked to put all information related to the sale of drugs to a portal, which is not possible in the existing structure.
If you need medicines today, you can get medicines from hospitals or some shops around it, instead of going around here.
Why is the opposition to the e-portal?
Under this, patients can be given medicines only after scanning the doctor's prescription. Sellers say that there will be no scanning if there is no electricity, and sometimes the link failure can not be given medication. While the patient needs frequent medicines many times but they can also beat them if they do not get medication.
Apart from this, retail drug vendors, chemists and e-pharmacy will not be able to sell the medication until they enter the full details on this e-portal. If all these do not obey the rules, then there will be a rule to take action on them.
